Wow it has been months. We got our computer up and running in our room. Even though it is dial-up the photo uploads went pretty easy. I'm so thankful!

Lapeer Days and Deer

On Sat. night we went to Lapeer Days to get a drink fill up and let the kids get on some rides. It was pretty fun. On Sun. afternoon we had a mama and her 3 babies playing in the yard. It is blurry b/c she wouldn't let me get close. (She's a good Mama!)

Free Family Day

On Sat. we went to a free family day at the park with my parents. The kids had a great time. The events were, Baseball, sack race, relay race, balloon toss, treasure hunt, and pinata. The kids also got a drink and a hot dog. Lincoln won the sack race. Lincoln and Cade's team won the relay race. Yesenia found the treasure chest and Tiny got to open. Cade had a moth land on his arm. He carried the moth half way to 3rd base from 2nd. Tiny caught a cricket, but it jumped away before I could get a picture. We were the first ones to show up. Not that many people came. The ones that did come seem to all know each other. They were all related to each other. It was like we had crashed someone's family reunion. It was a little wierd, but the kids had a lot of fun. (Oh, and we all had to wear these silly scarfs that had nothing to do with the games. Who knows what that was about?)

The Wagners had some tickets for the Tigers game. They invited Mom and Dad with three extra tickets. Mom and Dad took Jeremy, Lincoln, and Cade. They had a great time. Cade cried for the fireworks b/c he thought the field would get burned up. hehe.

All the kids made cookies with Nana. Tiny said his were for Christianna. Later he was suppose to make a picture for John. Instead he made two pictures for Christianna. Yesenia and Cade got to go with Grandpapa to the Sauve's, the Eddy's, and the store!

Lincoln lost his first tooth in the middle of the honey buisness. Nana pulled the tooth out. Only he already has a tooth in. The new tooth already grew in behind the baby tooth. These glasses were mine when I was in Jr. High. (I actually picked them out) Yesenia looks cute even in these. Yes, that is actually a price tag. I can't believe some old lady wouldn't want these for 25 cents.

This fancy car came to our yard sale. Cade wanted me to take his picture by it. There are only two other cars like this in Michigan.

Economic Stimulus Payment & Christ

For a moment, forget the political puzzle of getting money back when the country is nine trillion dollars in debt. The more immediate question is: How will you make much of Christ with your "economic stimulus payment"? The president says it will be in the mail in time for Cinco de Mayo.
Clue: Nobody in the world will see you spend your money on yourself and conclude that Christ is your treasure. They will assume you are just like them, no matter how loudly you thank God for this boon. That doesn't mean you shouldn't spend it on yourself (the way we do with most of what we earn). Not everything we do can look different from the world—eat, pay utilities, fill up the car, wear clothes (even thrift-store clothes). And yes, we hope (somehow) that spending on ourselves in some way contributes to our being more Christ-exalting people.
But do we really need this money? Very few do. We would have gotten on fine without it. If we didn't know it was coming, we wouldn't even be feeling the desires we are feeling right now.
May I encourage you to be radically creative and hedonistic. Jesus said, "It is more blessed to give than to receive" (Acts 20:35). And those crazy Macedonians in a "severe test of affliction" and in "extreme poverty" had an "abundance of joy" that overflowed in a "wealth of generosity." They even begged Paul "for the favor of taking part in the relief of the saints" (2 Corinthians 8:2-4). They really believed what Jesus said. Really.
Before the check comes dream of some person or ministry which might make much of Christ because you treasured him above your next home project.
The reason God created money and enabled us to earn it is so that we could show by the way we use it that money is not our treasure, Christ is. That's why the checks are coming. So we can make Christ look great.
"Be content with what you have, for he has said, ‘I will never leave you nor forsake you'" (Hebrews 13:5-6).

The Bees Are Here!

Papa brought the bees home on Sunday.
There are about 10-15,000 bees in each hive.

Mr Wagner came over to help get the bees in their

hives. Mr Wagner brought two of his sons. (Tim

and Matt) The kids had a great time. Tim played

catch with Cade. The other kids jumped on the

trampoline with Matt.

First we had to get the hives ready. We had to get

some sugar water ready for the bees. Secondly, The guys had to get dressed for the bees. Then we put the queen in the hive and dumped the bees in.

The gray hive is the north hive. This hive belongs to Queen Victoria.

The south hive is the white one. This hive belongs to Queen Isabella. Mr Wagner dumped the bees into the first hive. Papa dumped the bees into the second hive. It was so great to see God's amazing creation this close up. We were really pushing the limit with how cold and late it was. But God was gracious. The bees just stayed in their hives and buzzed away. One bee climbed on my chin. And one bee got up Papa's pants. (It stung him) I guess he is an official bee keeper!

"Mama, do I look like U. Mardin in this hat?" "Mama, I wish U. Mardin was here. Do you?" Mama, does my hair look like U. Mardin's?' "Mama, Is it warm outside? yes. Then, I can play golf with U. Mardin! He said they have little clubs, that are my size." "Mama, do you know who my favorite golfer is? um, Tiger Woods? Yeah, and U. Mardin." If I printed all the things Cade says about Martin, there just wouldn't be enough room. I'm glad that he looks up to a family member, rather than some worldly rock star figure. I don't mean to put some heavy weight onto Martin's shoulders. It's not really up to me. Cade just Loves Martin. I hope that they can have great conversations about the Lord as they play golf together. (Well after all you are right up there with Tiger!)

We cleared just a little bit of the snow. Cade doesn't mind falling when he's not on skates. He would just lay on the ice from time to time to take a break. Yesenia have a great time clearing branches to make a fort. Linc played with Daily a lot. Tiny saw me on my skates and said, "Mama you ska-ing." Just after he said that his foot slipped a little so he said, "I ska-ing too). It was so cute.

Yesterday we went down to the bog. It had a lot of smooth ice under the snow. We shoveled all of it. Today it snowed again. Not that big of a deal. Except, it is going to warm up in a couple days. This is an email I got from my friend. She wrote "alright people i know this is stupid, but found worth forwarding because i found myself laughing while trying to do it. who cares if i can't do a six, at least i can do a nine. scroll down to the bottom to try..." As I tried this I started cracking up. The way I laughed reminded me of the times my friend and I used to laugh about stupid stuff back when we were roommates. (One time we laughed so hard trying to horse noises.)

The Most Beautiful Hands

My Grandma has arthritis. As a result her hands have become deformed. And yet they are the most beautiful hands to me. She has beautiful hand writing. When I get mail from her I don't even have to look who it's from. I can tell it is from her by the handwriting and decorative envelopes. It puts a smile on my face as soon as I pull it out of the mailbox. I know that there is love inside. When I was young, her hands would make the best zucchini bread I have ever tasted. Her hands are not strong enough to do that any more. But there is one things her hands don't need strength to do. Her touch is precious! When she rests her hand on your shoulder or knee, or moves your hair, you feel nothing but calm and comfort. Time almost stops for moment as you are wrapped in her love. I wonder if she has ever been embarrassed by her hands. The thought of that is funny to me because I'm so proud of them. The photo was taken by my sister. Great picture of Grams, Nikki. I almost hate to write something new b/c I love seeing my kids when faces when I get on the blogspot. Eventually I will write about all my favorite little people, in my life. I just want to say how blessed my family is by my parents. Jeremy is always saying, "They are too good to us." He is right! Here are just some small ways they show their love: Papa went to Costco and bought us all kinds of treats for us while we watch their dog. Mom bought the kids some toys to play with while they are in GA. And she left us some extra money for whatever else we would want. They just do these kinds of things b/c they love us. They are so thoughtful and giving. They do these kinds of little things All the time. We thank God for you Papa & Mammy!

Genius! He is a scientist, who likes to draw. And He is good at reading. Right now Linc is sporting the MacGyver hair cut. (1st season) Lincoln also likes computers. He will make his millions using his brain before Cade makes his in sports. (I bet this all happens before he graduates high school) Linc wants to be like MacGyver when he grows up. He has a pocket knife on his birthday list. I think he is well on his way. I look forward to finding out how the LORD is going to use these talents and desires for His glory. Wow! What can be said about her?! She is a nut. She cracks us up all the time. She slaps her knee and says,

" I crack myself up." She has not shame. I love that in her and still I need to put a cap on it. Anyone who knows her, knows exactly what I'm talking about. Thankfully there is another side to Yesenia. She has such a servants her. She loves to be a home maker. If she wakes up at night, she covers the boys (cuz she thinks they're cold) and gives them a kiss. She loves cleaning, and being in the kitchen, and taking care of everyone. She does a better job than I do.

Cade LOVES sports. Even at 2 when the other kids wanted to watch cartoons, he wanted to watch football. I'm not joking. If we turn the football to cartoons, he would start crying. I thought there was something wrong with him. I know he is a boy, but every 2 yr old should love cartoons. He Loves Michigan football. He also likes the Red Wings and Maple Leafs. He HATES to lose. Even drinking his milk with the other kids is a competition. "I win! I'm done First!" He is also such a Lovies. He is constantly telling us he loves us. So Sweet.

This little guy has a big attitude. I can see how the last child gets away with everything. It is completely the parents fault. I of course say this to my shame. When you are preoccupied by your other toddlers you tend to tell them not to bother the baby. Tiny (Xavier) has a parent given excuse to be rude. Children think its hard to obey their parents. ha! That is not even their choice. It's our job as a parent to obey scripture by Making them obey. Oh to be 3 again when you just sit back and let Mom take care of everything. (Besides that he is very sweet and entirely cute)

I listened to a tape titled 24 Hrs is all you get. It was convicting and yet I haven't changed my ways. My family needs more structure. I'm not using my full 24 Hrs to the glory of God. I could go on and on about this issue. I'm not going to do that. LORD don't stop convicting me. Brandy
